Speak Your Voices BUT.... Beware of Haters!!

It's always interesting when you speak your different voices i.e. the voice of hate, love, anger, compassion, right, wrong etc... what response you get back from people around you!!

I mean the more I "speak out" about what I think/believe the thicker my skin needs to be..... But here's the other side of this coin..... Alot More people are listening as well!!

So today I write from my different voices to the "haters" and the "listeners"....

Firstly, if you are a "hater" of what I've got to say, then good on you! I mean who said I'm right???

However, I challenge your thinking if I seem to p#$% you off with my rants and thoughts about how things "should be"!!

What is it that you so dislike?
Is it I speak my mind?
Do I strike a cord with your beliefs about ___?
Maybe you absolutely hate me?
Do you think I'm a egotistical male pig?

What ever your reason for being a "hater", I ask you to ask a couple of simple questions before you pass judgement on what you perceive I say........

Ask; What does he mean? E.g. Not what do I think he means, what does HE ACTUALLY mean when he says something that gets under my skin?!?

What is it REALLY about what he says that p#$%$# me off?
Am I all pi$ed off because he saying something that doesn't align with what I believe?

At the end of the day "haters", all I'm doing is speaking what I perceive to be true and yes, I do have a strong conviction when I bring it to the table but that still doesn't make me right or unable to change my thinking!!

May I suggest to you "hater"...... Always look at both sides of coin even if it is against your beliefs because to truly "get it" you need to look at EVERYTHING from a 360 degree perspective!!

To the "listeners" who enjoy what I got to say, thanks for listening BUT I ain't god and I make mistakes and have been known to be wrong many times!!

If you do have a "strong voice" about how you think, speak it but speak it with a OPEN MIND to other people's thoughts on the subject!!

P.S. Of late I have been speaking from my "take it or leave it" voice and this is why I created the video's below;

15% of the year GONE on my birthdya...

Just a quick update to let you know that 15% of the year is gone TODAY (25/2/09), that's right 15% is out the door never to be seen again except in your memory that you have stored away for safe keeping!

Interesting isn't it when you look at 2009 as 15% gone or 55days out of 365 you will never see again EVER!

So tell me please, How are you going with the goals you have for this year?

If you wanted to lose body fat and or weight, are you on track?
Let me put it to you this way; "how" much have you lost and "how" much have you got to go to hit your target?

If your goal was more money.
Are you on track? Again let's put it in "black" or "white" terms of, How much have you got so far and how much to go before you hit your target?

Maybe your goal is more peace & happiness in times where every one is doom and gloom?
You get the picture; How much happier and peaceful are you & how far to go before you hit your target?

Be truthful with yourself and do your best to answer them. For me I can honestly answer from the above 2 out of 3 I'm on track! However to provide more details I would have to sit down and measure against the 'start' to 'now'!

Regardless of where you are at i.e. "on" track or "off" track with your goals. I would love for you to just reflect on the last 15% of the year and see where you "were" and where you are "now".

Some things are Measurable and some things are NOT! Measure the things that society measures i.e body fat, $$ in account, materialistic things for peace and happiness, because while I don't agree with it entirely (does has it's place though!), without a doubt it is MEASURABLE!

Once you have done the "surface" measuring, then look deeper to the "journey" of the last 15% of the year to things like;
  • What have you learn't about trying to achieve _____ so far and has it impacted on your life positively or negatively?
  • What has losing more body fat taught you about you as a human being?
  • What has having (or losing) more money taught you about yourself so far?
  • How has being more peaceful and happy (or not) taught you about your life so far?
This is deep stuff, however it's truthful stuff that people don't talk about enough or if they do, it's a bit "fluffy" and tends to have no foundation.

The take home message today is 15% of the year is gone, some day so will you!! What will you leave behind, both in terms of external/possessional things and the words people use to express "who" you are to them.

Make it happen with what ever you choose to do, Go visit one of the things that I'm going to do on my bucket list! This particular 'goal' some days feels like I can reach it tomorrow with so much ease that it feels like I'm floating and other days I think, oh my friggin god this is just stupid, why, why, why!!

Today (25/2/09) is my birthday, I'm 31 and still rocking! My mum left a message on my phone singing me happy birthday, kool ahe. Yeah I thought so too, it made me laugh when I was a bit peeed off :-)

Gospel by Geoff Thompson

I burrowed this form Geoff Thompson his book Watch My Back, has just came into movie called Clubbed. Part of my goal for 2009 is to Embrace my Fears and this below is right up there with "living"!!!

Gospel

When you smoke your cigarettes – even if you think they don’t see – you are teaching the kids to smoke cigarettes.

Do not doubt me on this. It is fact. And your lesson is an assault; it is an abuse on young bodies, malleable minds.

You can sit all night long reading bedtime-health-law from tome or bible or tablet but it will not compensate because your gospel is what you do and not what you say. Words without action will simply bounce off the windscreen of young consciousness.

It is how you live that counts.

When you deal in deception – even if you think the kids don’t see you deal in deception – when you fiddle your taxes, when you buy your bent gear (when you steal, in other words) when you lie (even when you white lie) and when you fail to tell the truth (which is simply another way of dealing in lies) you teach your kids the art of deception.

Do not doubt me on this. It is fact. And your lesson is disabling, it is a virus on the hard drive of soft young minds.

You can evangelise until the second coming about honesty and integrity and about doing the right thing, you can quote from holy scroll and preach from church pulpit but your words will be vaporised by the acid of wrong action because your gospel is what you do and not what you say.

Words without action are impotent, the masturbation of the masses that practice not what they preach.
It is how you live that counts.

When you are violent – even if you think the kids do not see you dealing in violence – you are schooling the kids in the art of violence.

Do not doubt me on this. It is fact. And your tutorial is an abomination, a savage, slashing impression left in the psyche of young minds. Violence is a demon intent that employs thoughts, looks, words as well as deeds as its weapons of war. And you can wank off all day long, condemning the school bully, the street hoody and the government warmongers and the wrongs they inflict upon the world but none of it will even reach young minds, and none of it will instruct because your gospel is always, always, always what you do and never (never, never) what you say. Because words without action are like wheels without traction.

It is how you live that counts.

Teaching children is easy enough in principle, but very hard to place into action. If you want them to live a clean life, live a clean and splendid life yourself. Everything else is the folly of foolish and ignorant denial.

As Saint Francis said, we should all preach the gospel, and if we really need to, we should use words.

So why not preach an amazing gospel, why not live clean, be honest, eschew violent ways and achieve your own very best potential by living the dream you dare to tell them they can live. That way you need not even open your mouth to prophesise, because one solitary inspirational action will speak louder that a library of good advice.

Be well.
Geoff Thompson.

The 2 Best Questions to ask EVER....

I wanted to share with you today an email I sent the people who are participating in the 6wk Online Fatloss Group that I feel more people need to "understand".
All people who are in the group are getting results both in terms of fat loss and life. 1 person has reported a drop in clothes size in 4wks!!! Others have said they noticed clothes looser ALL have said that it's transfered to there life in positive ways!!
While fat loss maybe the focus, you can't put a price on improving the quality of your life!! To all those that are kicking butt, you are awesome I have posted the last video's for you as well.
=======================
The MOST IMPORTANT
questions you can ask EVER!
=======================

I believe with absolute conviction at this point and time in my life that if you ask 3 basic questions you can MOVE yourself up the ladder of success if not jump up the ladder of success!

I believe that most people get caught up in the "wrong" questions due to focusing on "things" that don't move them in a direction of success! I also believe that people regardless of where you are in life these questions will pay dividends, however if you can "see" more and then follow through on what you "see" then you will get more from the questions that you ask.

So what are the questions?

Before I give them to you, please understand that you "may" get what I'm saying at a "intellectual" basis and this is GREAT (although if you don't get it, it's still ok because if you keep asking the questions it will come), however "intellectual understanding" is ONLY 1 depth of learning and sure it's better then not getting it (even though you still do at some level).

However the REAL learning is observing and watching with curiosity of HOW you follow through on the questions; by now you maybe lost so let me explain what the questions are.

If you get "stuck" on something i.e. something is holding you back in this fitness journey then the BEST questions to ask yourself are;

  1. HOW can I over come this?

  1. WHAT can I do about it today?

  1. WHERE does it come from? (Only needs to asked if you are unhappy/sabotaging yourself)

Before we carry on please do NOT ask the WHY does this happen questions because that opens up a box to never never land, we want questions that move us forward not make us peel back layers of us that will take forever to understand,if at all!

How = asking the unconscious to find the answer

What = moving from "dreaming" to moving in a direction towards what we want to achieve.

Where = Where in your life have you "let that be okay?"

Okay please take note of this;

You DO NOT HAVE TO KNOW THE ANSWERS to the questions, more then likely if you are asking them you have NO IDEA, that is why you are asking them because you are asking your unconscious part of your brain to find the answer. If you have a perception of control then this will be very hard for you! But basically you are wanting to ask the questions then just "let it go" and allow it to come to you!

Call it Law of Attraction/The Secret or what ever, the reality is I want you to ASK the question BUT ALSO to follow through on what comes to you with out letting your conscious part of you say "No or Judge" you for what ever reason. This is the part to "watch with curiosity" to what happens next and or how you feel about the situation.

Please don't over analyze everything in this email just read it and ask the questions next time a "situation" arises and then just "let it be"!
